What is Audiomation?

"Audiomation is the conversion of pixelated images into sound organized through time and space

Logic's interface is utilized to mimic the compositions. Thereby creating the parameters of when to play and for how long. Like composers instructing on tonal and dynamic parameters, and the players are like the software. This method allows the alteration of visual data into an audio score. The pixels' hue within the image will influence the tone of each sample. The order of the score is produced in the same manner as you read text, from top to bottom and left to right. At the top of the image I formulate a musical score for that color pixel then go to the next one to the right formulating another score for it and so on. Now every time that color appears the score allocated to it is played. Gib has come on board to give beats to the score created in audiomation." - Lee Welch, 2004
